Spain’s Rodri on “very tough” v Morocco & keeping playing style despite Japan loss | Qatar World Cup

Spain’s midfielder converted into centre-back Rodri said the team is not going to change their ‘football philosophy’ just because they were beaten by Japan 2-1 in their final group stage match to finish second in the Group E behind Japan.

He also promised not to take nex opponents Morocco lightly.

“One of the top teams in Africa. So, I think there are a very, very strong team. You can see the names they have there, the players they have with quality, with power. I think it’s going to be very, very tough,” he told media on Sunday.
2010 champions Spainwill now play against Morocco for the Round of 16 at the Education City Stadium on 6th December.
It is the second time both teams play against each other in a World Cup, the previous one was in 2018 Russia group stage, with a Spain victory.
