Karim Benzema signs deal to join Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad

Karim Benzema signed a two-year deal with a club from Saudi Arabia and the move will also see him face former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Saudi’s state-run Ekhbariya news on Sunday reported that Benzema and the Saudi Al Ittihad club had reached an agreement on a two-season contract. The contract reportedly offers Benzema more than 100 million euros ($107.05 million).

The Frenchman is leaving Real Madrid after over 350 goals, 24 major trophies as well as four La Liga and five Champions League titles.

Cristiano Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr and Benzema has just signed a two-year deal at Al-Ittihad. While Lionel Messi is also wanted in Saudi Arabia and has been offered more than £350m a year by Al-Hilal.
